Pre-departure seminar BayIND Summer School 2023

The two-day preparatory seminar held at Hof University, gave the students a quick overview of the Indian political system, educational system, and general society with the goal of fostering intercultural competence. The students got insights into the diverse Indian culture, politics, geography, society and industry.

Following the presentations of BayIND the students learned more about India and how to handle cross-cultural misconceptions. The students gained knowledge on how to apply this knowledge to incorporate effective communication techniques. There were many meaningful discussions with Indian students Vishwesh and Siyam from Hof University about the educational and societal issues pertaining to India through case studies.

The two-to-three-week summer school emphasizing on the theme “Co-creation and Sustainability”, is planned for 20 chosen students from Bavarian institutions. This year, the event will take place in Bangalore, Mysore, Kochi, and Munnar. Beginning from Mid-August, the Summer School will be held in partnership with M. S. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, Bangalore. The schedule comprises a variety of events, including lectures, business visits, and cultural performances.
